The Chihuahua is a dog breed that is mostly classified as a companion. They are very small in size and are known to focus more on one or two people. This makes them suitable for older people. They also do not have a lot of exercise requirements. They are loyal and affectionate and make great pets. The Chihuahua originated in ancient Mexico and is considered one of the oldest breeds of dogs in Mexico. Many people believe the Chihuahua actually dates back to Mayan times when Chis descended from the Techichi. This breed has proven itself over time and continues to be a very popular and sought-after breed today.

The Chihuahua is a very fun and feisty little dog who loves to play and explore. They enjoy spending time with their family and make fantastic lapdogs. They are fun to spend time with and have very loving and loyal personalities. They have a very approachable and warm demeanor and will accept as much love as you can give them. They make fantastic family pets.

Chihuahuas tend to be easy to care for and do best with coat brushing a few days a week. It is suggested that they are bathed about once a month which will allow them to look and feel their best. Being sure to incorporate routine nail trimming is also advised. This is a good-looking breed of dog, and with basic care, he will shine.

Chihuahuas are small yet active dogs and do need sufficient amounts of energy to feel their best. The correct ratio of meat-based protein and micronutrients, as well as healthy carbs and fats, will keep this breed healthy. Many Chihuahuas owners recommend feeding this dog two meals a
day, spaced about twelve hours apart. It is also very important to remember to provide your dog
with proper dental care. It is suggested that his teeth get cleaned a minimum of three times a
week. Failing to keep his teeth clean can contribute to health issues.
