Information

Chihuahua

Chihuahuas are a charming and spirited breed, with roots tracing back to ancient Mexico where they were cherished as companions. These pint-sized pups pack a big personality and have a delightful mix of feistiness and affection, making them wonderful companions for families, singles, and everyone in between. They are known for their loyalty and often form strong bonds with their owners, bringing a sense of warmth and joy to any household.

With a moderate energy level, Chihuahuas enjoy playtime but are also content to snuggle up on the couch with you after a brisk walk around the block. Their apartment-friendly nature makes them an excellent choice for city living, and they adapt well to smaller spaces, so you don’t need a massive yard to accommodate their playful spirit. While they can be a bit vocal, this breed's alertness makes them good watchdogs and they blend surprisingly well into family life, often getting along with young children and other pets given the proper introductions.

When it comes to grooming, you will find Chihuahuas require minimal upkeep, needing only monthly grooming sessions to keep their coat looking great. Their shedding level is low, ensuring that you can enjoy their companionship without the hassle of excessive hair around your home. As for training, Chihuahuas are intelligent and eager to please, though they might have just a touch of stubbornness. With patience and positive reinforcement, they can learn commands and tricks, making them both a delightful and trainable addition to your family. Whether you are in Petland Las Vegas, Nevada, searching for a lively new friend or looking to adopt a loyal companion, a Chihuahua could be the perfect fit for you.

I want to recognize Natali and her team from Pets Mart on their personal attention to my puppy purchase . I decided to buy from them again since our first dog that we purchased from them has been in great health over the past 8 years . I have had him for a week and he is developing his personality and we’ve been to the vet and they gave him a clean bill of health. I decided to take the dog to my vet that we’ve had for years in addition to the vet that pet land recommends that you go to. In both cases, they found the dog to be in good condition. No parasites, clear lungs and strong heart. I know there are many options in adopting a pet, including the shelter, but we prefer to know the background of the dog as much as possible, and have some level of guarantee from the breeder of which petland gave us both . In either case, thank you Petland team for all your help.
