Bloodhounds have short coats that are generally easy to maintain with regular brushing to help remove loose hair and keep the coat healthy. Their long ears and facial folds require routine attention, while nail trimming, dental care, bathing, and regular veterinary care are also important. Bloodhounds benefit from consistent, positive training, early socialization, daily exercise, and opportunities to use their natural scenting abilities through supervised games and activities.
